They asked 8 healthy and active men and women to just sit for the whole day, they have only got up from their chairs for eating and to the bathrooms.

Day 2:

After given this the scientist monitored their metabolic changes in the body for the next 6 hours.

Day 3:

So on this day, the scientist has asked them to do the same as what they did on day 2, sitting down for the full day. But there is a very small change, this time, every 45 minutes once they sprinted for a few seconds on a stationary bicycle with no resistance. so they peddle so fast for 4 seconds and rest for 45 minutes and they repeat again and again. They did this for 8 hours where they peddled under 3 minutes worth of the entire exercise.
